Leben

1996 bekam Rimes im Alter von nur 14 Jahren zwei Grammys: für ihre erste Single Blue und als beste Newcomerin. Einige ihrer Alben sind Unchained Melody, You Light Up My Life, Sittin’ on Top of the World, LeAnn Rimes, Twisted Angel und This Woman. 2004 veröffentlichte sie mit Greatest Hits bzw. The Best of eine Auswahl ihrer besten Lieder. Im selben Jahr brachte sie außerdem das Album What a Wonderful World heraus, das nur Weihnachtslieder enthält.In Deutschland wurde sie vor allem durch die Songs How Do I Live, Life Goes On und Can't Fight the Moonlight (aus dem Film Coyote Ugly) bekannt.Darüber hinaus sang sie auf der Eröffnungsfeier der Olympischen Winterspiele 2002 in Salt Lake City das Titellied Light the fire within von David Foster.Ihr aktuelles Album heißt Family, die erste Singleauskopplung daraus ist Nothin' Better To Do.Gemeinsam mit Bon Jovi singt sie die Ballade Till We Ain't Strangers Anymore, die am 30. November 2007 als Single veröffentlicht wurde und sowohl auf LeAnn's aktuellen Album Family als auch auf dem Bon Jovi Album Lost Highway enthalten ist.Heute lebt Rimes in Nashville zusammen mit ihrem Mann Dean Sheremet, mit dem sie im Jahr 2003 das Kinderbuch Jag veröffentlichte.
