Bathory Biographie

Bathory war eine 1983 gegründete, schwedische Metal-Band und gilt als Vorreiter des Black- und Viking-/Pagan Metal. Bandgeschichte Die Band, deren Name auf der berüchtigten ungarischen ?Blutgräfin? Erzsébet Báthory (der sie das Lied ?Woman of Dark Desires? widmeten) beruht, wurde im Mai 1983 von dem damals 17-jährigen Thomas ?Quorthon? Forsberg gegründet. Nach mehreren Wechseln der Bandbesetzung erlangte die Band die Möglichkeit, für die Compilation ?Scandinavian Metal Attack? des Labels ?Tyfon Grammafon? zwei Stücke beizusteuern. Nach unerwartet hohem Interesse seitens der Hörerschaft durfte die Band ein komplettes Album aufnehmen.Ihre folgenden Veröffentlichungen ? das selbstbetitelte Debütalbum sowie ?The Return? und ?Under the Sign of the Black Mark?, die sowohl von Forsberg selbst Interview mit Quorthon Death Metal BATHORY als auch von der Presse Bathory - Bathory Bathory - The Return als Death Metal bezeichnet wurden ? werden heutzutage als die Hauptein
